Meet Liam

Did you know that if you book a photographer for all-day coverage from prep to dancing then it is likely you will spend more time with them than your partner? With that in mind, you want to make sure you get on well with them right? So I have put this page together to let you get to know me a little.

My background

For over 8 years I have been working as a professional photographer covering various types of events including large-scale corporate, sports events, music festivals, and weddings.

In 2015 I went to study Creative Media Practice at Bath Spa University to develop my skills and to learn what carer path I wanted to go on. During my time at university, I was capturing every type of event possible and I absolutely loved the fast-paced nature of the industry as no event was the same. Although enjoyable, the corporate world was looking less interesting each year with some of the events I captured being fairly soulless, that is when I discovered my passion for weddings! I found that all I got from corporate events was money - which is never something that has motivated me. Weddings on the other hand gave me so much value including new friendships, the opportunity to share someone's special day, and to capture moments that will be treasured for a lifetime.

I have always made the most of every opportunity since my first job back when I was 15 washing pans in an Indian restaurant. The majority of my early roles, like many was in the hospitality industry. Working in hospitality gave me the skills to keep a cool head no matter how many customers were being served and multiple phone lines ringing with orders - by the age of 17 I was effectively an assistant manager!

When covid hit I had to change my work to be able to keep up with living expenses as weddings and events stopped. I worked making cake toppers for a while and then I was able to move to a youth charity in Bath helping them with all of their digital projects, I am still with the charity as I love the work I do and the work they do for the local community. Does this mean I don't have time to focus on weddings? Absolutely not! Despite the work being slightly different all of my skills are being developed which in turn lets me provide a better service to my couples.

Do I work alone or in a team?

I have covered full-day conventions solo where there were multiple sessions running at once, so I can handle the pressure without loss of quality. Although I tend to work alone I have run large-scale media teams in the past and have some great associates to bring on board if the project requires but you will still have a personal experience directly with myself.

I do not subcontract my work, I have always taken pride in the service I provide to my couples as why should you talk to someone for months in the run-up to the big day to plan the schedule and then on the day a stranger shows up?
